Terms of service

Last updated 31 July 2026. Please read these terms before engaging our services.

1. Who we are

Ohene Consult (“we”, “us”) is an independent educational advisory based in Accra, Ghana. We provide guidance, preparation and review services to individuals applying to educational institutions and exchange programmes abroad.

2. The nature of our service

We provide advisory services only. Specifically, we are not, and do not hold ourselves out to be:

  • a travel agency or tour operator; we do not sell or arrange flights, tours, accommodation or travel packages;
  • a recruitment or employment agency;
  • a designated exchange visitor programme sponsor;
  • a law firm, immigration consultancy, or provider of legal advice;
  • an agent or representative of any university, college, school district or sponsor organisation.

We accept no commission, referral fee or other payment from any institution, sponsor or employer in connection with your application.

3. What we do not guarantee

Admission decisions are made by educational institutions. Visa decisions are made by consular officers and immigration authorities. Employment decisions are made by employers. None of these are within our control.

We do not guarantee admission, funding, scholarship awards, placement, employment, visa issuance, or any other outcome. Any statement by any person suggesting otherwise is unauthorised and should be reported to us.

4. Your responsibilities

  • All information you provide to us must be true, accurate and complete.
  • All applications are submitted by you, in your own name, under your own signature. You retain control of your accounts, passwords and documents at all times.
  • You are responsible for meeting deadlines, paying institutional fees, and complying with the terms of any visa or programme you are granted.
  • You must not ask us to misrepresent your qualifications, experience or circumstances, and we will end the engagement if you do.

5. Academic integrity

We help you present your own work and your own thinking to the highest possible standard. We do not write, ghostwrite or fabricate applications, statements, proposals, theses or credentials, and we do not sit tests on your behalf. Misrepresentation in an application can result in withdrawal of an offer, revocation of a degree or a permanent bar from a country's immigration system.

6. Legal and immigration matters

Nothing on this website or in our correspondence constitutes legal or immigration advice. Where your circumstances raise legal questions, including questions about visa categories, the two-year home residency requirement, waivers, or permanent residence, we will refer you to a qualified professional. You should not act on general information from us in place of that advice.

7. Fees

Fees are quoted in writing before work begins and set out what is included. Institutional application fees, credential evaluation fees, test fees, sponsor fees, government charges and travel costs are payable by you directly to the relevant body and are not included in our fees unless expressly stated.

8. Information accuracy

Admissions requirements, scholarship schemes, fee levels, financial thresholds and immigration rules change frequently and without notice. Information on this website is provided for general orientation and may become out of date. Always confirm current requirements with the official source before relying on them.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability arising from our services is limited to the fees you have paid us for the engagement in question. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of opportunity, arising from decisions made by third parties.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana.
